Only few more days before the official first day of autumn, which means that cooler days are almost here.
I always feel a little sad when summer comes to an end. Then, I think about all the things I love about autumn like the sweater weather, crisp air, salted caramel, rainy, cozy weekends. Who else is looking forward to all of those things?
The contents of my makeup bag don’t look much different from last month, so I won’t bore you with talking about the same products. Instead, I’l just talk about the products that I added this month.
Quite a few products from IT Cosmetics I’m testing this month like their Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Concealer* and the Heavenly CC+ Skin Perfecting Brush.* The concealer is so highly pigmented, it’s amazing how much coverage a small drop can provide. I’m also loving this Skin Perfecting Brush- it works really well with the CC+ Cream and is incredibly soft.
I’ve also been really loving this Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm.* It’s probably one of the best makeup-removing balms I’ve used in a very long time. I also like using it on a makeup-free face as a quick moisturizing treatment. I just leave it on for about a minute after massaging it into my skin and wash it off with a warm washcloth. Love, love, love this balm!
This month I was also introduced to Bioderma- which you might already know if you follow me on Instagram. I’m testing a few of their products and so far, the Sébium H2O* is my favorite. It seems to be working really well with my combo skin and removes makeup very nicely, without irritating my skin. If you’re in the US, you can get your Bioderma products from beautylish.com.
Last month I raved about Marc Jacobs Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Kink & Kisses and I had to get my hands on Flesh and Fantasy. I’m so in love with the formula and finish of these and Flesh and Fantasy is just a stunning shade. I’m definitely not one to go crazy for blushes, but these- I totally fell in love with.
I also dug out my Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette- the shades included in it are absolutely perfect for fall. I also picked up Dior Minimal nail polish from the Skyline Fall 2016 collection. It’s such a gorgeous peachy nude and while I usually love Dior polishes- I think these are the only high-end polishes worth the splurge- this one chipped on my on the 3rd day. I did use an older top coat so perhaps that was the problem. I pained my nails again yesterday, using a different top coat and so far no chips.
Last, but not least, I’ll be trying this cute FLIRT Flashes Lash Applicator* during the next couple of days. You might have seen this little gadget all over the Instragrams and I’m really excited to put it to the test.
That pretty much sums it up for this month’s What’s in My Makeup Bag. What products are you currently using?
