Summer is in full swing and lately we’ve been experiencing beautiful, but extremely hot weather here in the East Coast. I’m still staying away from the sun and that means that I have yet another self-tanner review for you, and this one is quite different.
SVELTA Tan* self-tanner is different than anything else I’ve used before, because in addition to giving my skin a natural, golden tan, it’s also a skin-perfecting product. It contains firming botanicals, anti-aging extracts and nourishing ingredients. SVELTA Tan also does not contain any parabens, phthalates, sulfates or animal-derived ingredients, which means that all my vegan girls and boys out there can use this as well.
What I like about SVELTA Tan:
-The formula is very unique. If you’ve ever used a skin-firming or anti-cellulite body lotion (like Clarins) then you’re familiar with that tight, firm feeling it leaves on your skin. SVELTA Tan leaves my skin feeling exactly like that. Even though it’s not really a slimming product, I do feel that it leaves my skin feeling very firm.
-The color that develops is not only natural-looking, but it’s actually quite deep. I usually go for extremely natural color when it comes to self-tanners (I kind of have no choice, being so pale) but this is definitely one that gives me much deeper, golden color.
-The tan actually lasts on my skin, for longer than a day. This is something that I really, really like about this self-tanner. Just one application and the color stayed on me for a bout 5-6 days. Of course, it did fade a little bit after first few days, but it was definitely still visible after day 5.
-Gotta love the natural, vegan formula.
-I actually enjoyed the scent when applying this on my skin.
-SVELTA tan self-tanner also comes with a tanning mitt, which is very convenient.
-the color is instant and it also has a very, very delicate sparkle in it which adds a little glow to the skin.
Few things that bothered me about this product:
-It can get a bit streaky, but only if you try to use too much product at once. Because the product is so potent, I suggest using just the tanning mitt, without any additional product on areas like your knees and elbows. The mitt itself actually absorbs quite a lot of product.
-Instructions said to apply the product using vertical strokes, I usually apply my self-tanner using circular motions until the product blends in. I’ve used both techniques with SVELTA Tan, and circular motions worked a lot better for me.
As you guys can see, I can’t really find too many bad things to say about this self-tanner and I really wish that I’ve heard about it much sooner than I did. This is probably one of the best self-tanning products I’ve used. To get the best results, as with any other self-tanning product, I recommend exfoliating your skin and moisturizing dry areas prior to application.
Have you guys heard of SVELTA Tan before?

July 26, 2015 at 12:07 amWow, that’s a huge difference between the two! I personally have never used any tanners, since I spend a lot of time outdoors and tan easily, I don’t want to risk looking too tan haha!
