Triple Shine Nail Color collection by Sally Hansen promises to create non-stop shine and high-impact, glossy color. These two polishes: Statemint and clear Top Coat were included in the Summer 2014 version of the Allure Beauty Box. I’ve been testing out the clear Top Coat for the past few weeks and loved it. I wish I could say the same thing about the colored polish from this collection.
As soon as I applied one coat of the Statemint polish, I knew that it wasn’t going to be my favorite. While I absolutely loved the yellow-y-green color, the formula was not impressive. I thought that it was thick, and a bit streak-y. Usually all I need to get a nice coverage are two thin coats, with the Triple Shine Color polish I found I needed three coats for the coverage to even out nicely. I have to say though, Statemint is such an unusual color; it is a perfect definition for chartreuse- pure mix between green and yellow colors.
The Top Coat worked great for me, it added a beautiful shine and a smooth finish to my color application. Statemint had just as beautiful and glossy of a finish and along with a bright pop of color it was almost-perfect.
