This might be my most random haul yet. There’s some makeup, candles, jewelry and other “pretty things”.
After falling in love with Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Mascara, I wanted to try a few more Maybelline mascaras. I won’t lie, pretty packaging was most definitely a deciding factor for me when buying these. Can’t wait to see how they work.
I was after a nice, clear acrylic tape dispenser for quite a while now. After reading horrible reviews about Kate Spade Acrylic Dispenser that I really liked, I found a similar one for half the price ($10.00) on Amazon. It’s Kantek Acrylic Tape Dispenser and it works great. It’s sturdy and certainly doesn’t feel “cheap”. The only thing that I was disappointed about, is the fact that it had big, blue logo printed on the corner, which didn’t show up on Amazon’s image or product description. Thankfully, all it took was a bit of an acetone polish remover and there’s no sign of the logo ever being there.
I absolutely love Bath and Body Works candles (or any other candles for that matter, but you knew that already ;) ), but I do have one rule when buying them: never pay a full price. I always, always wait for the 20% off coupons in the mail and usually buy these when they’re on sale, which happens every few weeks. I wanted to try some new scents so I got Cranberry Woods and Sweater Weather. The rest were scents that I’m very much familiar with and love: Winter, Mahogany Teakwood, Eucalyptus Spearmint and Fireside.
Right now I’m burning “Fireside” in my living room, it’s such a warm and cozy scent, ideal for this season. This year is the first year, ever, that I put our Christmas Tree up so early (I did it on Sunday! Like.. Sunday, November 30th. November. I put my Christmas Tree up in November. WTF!). Usually I wait all the way until Christmas Eve-that’s how we used to do it when I was growing up- but to be honest I just couldn’t wait. I really don’t like all this rush and Christmas-commerce, but I just had to put it up already. It happened so quickly and out of the blue too.. I wasn’t planning on it at all. I wake up on Sunday morning, grab a cup of tea and next thing I know I’m dressing up the Christmas tree.
These adorable tea light holders are from H&M and boy oh boy did it take me ages to get my hands on them! They come in a two-pack for $5.95 in gold or silver. The gold ones always, always sell out in minutes as soon as they become available. I had to check hm.com a few times a day for a week to finally get these. I ordered two so I could have four of these. As soon as I placed my order I received an email saying that “one or more items in your order have sold out”. So in the end, I only got two of these, but I will definitely try to get more, they are so, so pretty! They are very light and delicate and I think that they’d also be cute for storing small jewelry.
