I’ve always had a lot of love for Pixi products, but never fell in love with one as quickly as I did with this one.
You probably already saw me declare my love for Pixi Glowtion Day Dew* on my Instagram. The minute I put this stuff on my face, I fell in love. One of my favorite skincare/makeup products is MAC’s Strobe Cream- not only does it leave my skin glowing, it actually has pretty good ingredients and works great as a moisturizer. Glowtion Day Dew is a very similar product.
“Advanced illuminating skin-perfector nourishes & soothes while giving a boost to dull skin. Featherlight and hydrating, this moisturizer imparts a natural-looking radiance to skintone, making it look healthier & more even. Lavender oil calms, kaolin purifies, and mica brightens.”
What I like:
– first thing that I have to mention is the packaging. I love that it comes in a tube and the fact that it has a pump is a bonus. You know that I’m not too big on jar packaging when it comes to skincare- active ingredients don’t stay stable when you constantly open and close the jar and expose the product to the environment and air- this is why the fact that this comes in a tube is a HUGE plus for me.
-it’s hydrating
-non-irritating and soothing
-it adds a nice glow without looking greasy and it makes your skin look gorgeous and healthy
-it blurs small skin imperfections, which makes it work great as a primer
-smoothes the skin and looks beautiful under foundation
What I don’t like:
-I wouldn’t use this under foundation when in direct sunlight- unless you don’t mind looking a little sparkly.
It’s been a while since I’ve tried a skincare/priming product and fell in love with it as quickly as I did with the Glowtion Day Dew. I love that it feels so comfortable on my skin, love how glowing and healthy it looks every time I use it. I’m not sure yet if I love it just as much as my beloved Strobe Cream, but it’s definitely a keeper and I’ve been using it everyday for the past week- even when not wearing makeup.
Have you tried any Skintreats from Pixi? If so, which is your favorite?
