Why pink lips? Because why not!
You might not know this, but pink actually used to be one of my least-favorite colors. Growing up I was definitely a bit of a tomboy. I didn’t like wearing dresses or skirts and I most definitely did not like pink color.
Eventually, my pink-phobia went away, and even though pink isn’t and will probably never be a favorite color of mine, when it comes to makeup, I’ll always welcome it with open arms.
I’ve noticed that I usually reach for pink lipsticks during summer the most. When going for a pink lip, I always keep my eye makeup to a minimum. I just love how pink lips look with a winged eyeliner or just a few coats of mascara and a cream eyeshadow. Today I’ll show you some of my favorite and most-used pink lipsticks.
Maybelline “Fast & Fuchsia”– This is a Color Blur Cream Matte Lip Pencil. It’s a vivid pink with some red hues.
NYX Intense Butter Gloss in “Funnel Delight”– these Intense Butter Glosses are amazing. The color payoff is great, and it’s a must-have if you love glossy lip products. “Funnel Delight” is a very shiny and intense pink.
NYX “Shocking Pink”– NYX’s matte lipsticks are seriously my favorites. “Shocking Pink” is a hot, bright pink. It’s definitely a nice, statement color that surprisingly easy to pull off.
L’Oreal “Pink Vinyl”– This is a light and sheer pink with very comfortable wear and a barely there color.
Maybelline “Fuchsia Fever”– A light, bright and very fun pink that I think would look great especially on blondes.
Milani “Rose Hip”– Milani lipsticks are amazing. The packaging is gorgeous, the colors are always pigmented and their scent is just divine. Miliani should bottle it up and sell it as perfume. “Rose Hip” is actually one of my favorite colors from Milani.
NYX “Sweet Pink”– “Sweet Pink” is a pink with some purple, hot undertones.
Maybelline “Pink & Proper”– This one is very delicate, a bit on the sheer side. I love that it’s not overwhelming or too intense, perfect for an “everyday” makeup.
MAC “Flat Out Fabulous”– this is a gorgeous matte, hot purple pink that is basically identical to NYX’s “Sweet Pink”. I actually like the formula of “Sweet Pink” a lot better, because it wears more comfortably.
OCC “Queen” Lip Tar– if you don’t feel comfortable wearing pink, but you really like red lipstick, this color would be perfect for you. It’s a red-pink with a very comfortable formula and long wear.
MAC Viva Glam “Gaga”– this is not a pink that I go for very often. It’s pale with light blue undertones and I only use it when my skin is tanned.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in “Addis Ababa”– NYX’s Matte Lip Creams are also pretty awesome and have a very unique formula. “Addis Ababa” is another slightly purple, hot pink.
What about you guys? Do you like pink?

July 29, 2015 at 2:46 pmLiking a bit of pale pink with a tan. Generally I go for a dusky pink it seems (just done my instagram for national lipstick day… they were nearly all the same colour!)

July 29, 2015 at 7:27 pmPink is my color! Although I tend to go for a more light/nude pink but I’m trying to change up my color and experiment a little. How is the color blur?
Paula @ thirteenthoughts.com
July 30, 2015 at 12:09 pmThe color blur lippies are actually very nice I have a review right here: https://www.thirteenthoughts.com/17122/maybelline-color-blur-cream-matte-lip-pencils the only thing is that the whole “blur” concept is a little pointless hehe ;)

July 30, 2015 at 1:06 pmI absolutely love pink lippies! I have a wide variety of pink lipsticks & my mom often gets irritated because they all look same to her (they’re not, of course)

July 30, 2015 at 6:52 pmMy husband is the same way. He took a look at those and said “wow why you need so many lipsticks if they’re all the same color” lol :)

August 8, 2015 at 8:44 amPink is totally my favorite lip color of all time. I used to wear nothing but red when I first began, then gradually shifted to orange. Now, it’s pink all the way unless I’m doing a particular look for the blog xD The only colors I haven’t experimented with are purples and greens and whatnot but I don’t see myself going for those kinds of editorial colors…
