The first thing on this list should probably be my portable heater.
I wish I could carry it with me everywhere I went, since I’m always, ALWAYS cold.
My heated blanket should also make the list since we’re pretty much inseparable. If you ever suffer from neck and/or back pain, you totally need one.
Loving: Yuzu Body Butter, Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet it Oxblood, Pillow Talk lippie, and Armani’s Luminous Silk foundation.
Regular readers will know that I have a low-key obsession with candles. I love burning them all year long, but there’s something about these colder months that just makes me love them even more. I love woody, muscular scents. My all-time favorite is the Black Bamboo from Village Candles and I also recently fell in love with Molton Brown’s Russian Leather*. Seriously, this is the most stunning, Autumn-perfect scent that reminds me of a campfire. It’s a mix of black tea, purple basil, Siberian pine, birch, tobacco, and leather. If you love woody scents, you need to try this.
During Summer I didn’t have a lot of issues with my Tazorac use, but as the weather changed, I noticed that my skin reacts a bit differently to it. I get a little irritated and dry. When my skin gets red and blotchy, I usually avoid putting anything on it (other than my well-trusted Cetaphil in a tub). I kind of just want to stick my face in the fridge- that’s when I love reaching for my Jade Roller. It’s one of the very few things/tools that will soothe my skin when it’s irritated and puffy. It just feels nice and cool, calming, brings instant relief and helps brings down the puffiness. I’d compare the feeling to putting a burned hand under cold running water- whenever my face feels like it’s on fire, my roller always helps me calm it down and soothe it.
I recently also added Paula’s Choice Perfect Cleansing Oil* to my routine and I’ve been really liking it for removing my makeup. It’s lightweight and rinses very well. It’s much lighter than Jojoba Oil which I usually use to remove my makeup in colder months, which is why I like it. Not sure how this would work with removing heavy makeup, though, but for everyday needs, it’s perfect. It’s kind of just plain and does a good job at removing makeup, nothing fancy, but I do have to say that I love the pump packaging.
A good hydrating mask is another must for me this time of year, one of my current favorites is the Erno Laszlo Sleep Mask* (which I already talked about in this post). It has such a fun, bouncy formula, doesn’t irritate skin and leaves it feeling soft, smooth and hydrated after you wake up.
Fall also means that I cannot live without long cardigans. I’m one of those people who are always, ALWAYS cold (I also tend to sleep with my socks on, welp). Ever since my back injury, I also can’t wear heels and I wish I could live in my comfy sneakers. Finding comfortable shoes to wear to the work has been such a challenge since most of my fall shoes/boots have a thick heel that my back just won’t tolerate. I actually bought a pair of the most comfortable booties ever a couple of weeks ago- Barris Block Heel Booties. They do have a block heel but don’t hurt my back and they’re probably the most comfortable pair of booties I’ve ever owned, perfect for everyday wear, and they don’t stretch and keep a perfect shape, which I love. I also treated myself to these stunning Velvet Jordaan Gucci Loafers– you know, so as to compensate myself for all the pain and suffering I’ve been through over the last couple of months, and they’re a perfect high-heel alternative to wear to the office and again, very comfortable and go with pretty much everything. Steve Madden actually has a very similar loafer, too.
I also have to mention this Mango Handbag. So roomy yet so light, in my favorite color (black, duh) and it has a shoulder strap which, once again, my back appreciates. It fits my work folders, my MacBook Air which I pretty much never leave the house without, a small makeup bag, some snacks and the rest of the crap I carry with me- the amount of which has substantially decreased over the last couple of months, for obvious reasons. I sometimes wish I could carry my entire house with me, seriously. Who can relate?
What are you guys loving this Fall?

November 16, 2017 at 12:56 amI don’t much like candles that are meant to smell like food…the exceptions are vanilla and cinnamon. Otherwise, we are very much the same.
I bought the Cetaphil in shower moisturizer and I am so loving it. I use a moisturizing body wash by Nivea (never underestimate the drugstore products!), and follow up wit Neutrogena sesame oil once out of the shower. I am set for winter in Chicago!

November 17, 2017 at 2:46 amI wish I had an electric blanket right now. Spanish winters may be mild but they are still unpleasant if someone is unfortunate like me and only has 1 heater in the whole flat… I mean, it is a small flat, but not one heater small…

November 29, 2017 at 8:24 pmI’m cold regardless of how warm it is in the house haha !

November 19, 2017 at 1:49 amI am cold ALL the time in these months (I think it gets on everyone’s nerves when I am always complaining lol), so how have I never heard of electric blankets before?! I think I live under a rock hahah. And so much yes for candles with a strong woody scent, I’ve been loving those recently too as they work so well with the seasonal atmosphere!

November 22, 2017 at 2:57 pmI just moved to Paris for the year from California, so I’m getting a bit freaked out by the cold. I just bought this long down coat that I wear pretty-much nonstop. I’m basically walking around all day in a sleeping bag. But at least it’s cute. For a down coat!

April 14, 2018 at 8:50 pmLove all your photography tips and I also am a serious lover of the editing process. Your photos are always perfect but I’m so curious how you do your monochrome with only using a few colours – do you do this in photoshop?
