Back in September, I wrote an entire post dedicated to Molton Brown’s Jasmine & Sun Rose fragrance collection. There’s just something about it that keeps me coming back- and, admittedly, I can be a little picky when it comes to fragrance. I love scents that aren’t overly feminine and Jasmine and Sun Rose is a perfect combo of fruity and flowery with a musk base. The interesting thing about this scent is that it seems to be both very unique, but also very nostalgic to me, although I can’t quite think of what it reminds me of. I love wearing it during the day, when wearing perfume seems to be a bit much sometimes.
Covergirl Exhibitionist Mascara*-this mascara is said to be a dupe for Too Faced Better Than Sex, and I have to say that they’re both pretty similar. It adds length and fullness without clumping or flaking throughout the day. I think I actually prefer the Exhibitionist brush over the Better Than Sex– even though they’re very similar, the Too Faced mascara always seems to collect way too much product and I always end up having to wipe huge amounts of product off the brush. I usually really like Covergirl mascaras, and this one is no exception.

Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk– this has been my go-to face oil/serum this winter. It’s more lightweight than argan oil alone or rosehip oil, it also absorbs faster. The texture is very silky and smooth and it feels amazing on the skin, especially when I use it post-treatment, such as the DE’s Baby Facial. I really like that it hydrates and heals dry patches around my cheeks and forehead, without making the rest of my skin feel or look greasy. The only thing I’m not too crazy about though is the dropper- it can make collecting/dispensing the product a little difficult.
Henry Charles Ro Pro Brush and Makeup Case*– this is one of my favorite makeup/brush cases, ever. I’ve had the original Sultry Pop version for a while now and this new Ro-Pro version is just as sturdy, roomy and durable, with pretty rose-gold details and metallic fabric. This case is a perfect travel companion- while the Deluxe Cosmetic Clutch is great for packing and traveling with some of your most loved and used products, this Brush and Makeup Case is an ideal size for your carry on, handbag or backpack. I’ve used mine on flights, road trips, weekends away, and it’s perfect for keeping all the necessities handy. It very easily fits a bunch of my favorite brushes, a lip balm, foundation or a tinted moisturizer, mascara, rollerball perfume, and a cream eyeshadow or two. The magnetic opening is one of my favorite things about this case too, as it makes it so easy to open it with just one hand- this is useful when you’re in a car or a plane and are holding a mirror in your other hand, for example.
Lixir Universal Emulsion Cream– another dry-skin savior and one of my favorite “quick fix” products. Great for all-over hydration minus any greasiness and any heavy/thick residue. It also works really nicely under makeup.
Diorlisse Ridge Filler– my nails are still recovering from gel manicures and I’m giving them a break from my weekly nail painting sessions. Instead, I’ve been using Dior’s Diorlisse Ridge Filler in Petal Pink. It strengthens, whitens and smooths the nail surface, while also adding a very delicate and natural-looking peachy-pink color.
I’m keeping it simple in terms of both makeup and skincare for now, as I don’t want to risk any sudden breakouts or irritation. Next week I’m finally getting laser treatment done on my entire face for those deep acne scars and I am SO excited- I’m planning to write all about it and, of course, will share my experience and results.
