I’m all about neutral and nude nail polishes these days. “Liya’s Nude” is a part of L’Oreal’s Collection Privee. The collection includes six different nail polishes and each color is a “signature” shade of one of L’Oreal’s spokes models. “Liya’s Nude” is Liya Kebede’s pick, and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
“Liya’s Nude” is one of those shades that changes hues depending on the light source. I took the above swatch standing right in front of the window (natural light source) and the shade looks to be a neutral, nude brown.
Here, on the other hand (literally ;) ) I used flash while taking the picture and it looks more like a dark, nude shade with purple undertones. Most of the time when I’m painting my nails I’m torn between light, nude shades and dark ones, such as Essie’s Carry On or Skirting the Issue . I think that “Liya’s Nude” is a perfect mix between the two.
The formula of this polish is also quite nice, two coats is all you need. I always use a top coat, so my nails can last as long as a week without any chipping. I hope that my love affair with nudes and neutrals won’t last too long. The weather is getting nicer every day, so pretty soon it’ll be time for colorful pastels and bright neons :D I can’t wait!

April 2, 2014 at 11:59 amIt looks like such a gorgeous colour! Reminds me of Barry M dusky mauve! It’s surprisingly hard to take a picture of nails that are thee of colour, I’ve found- but you’ve done a great job! Your nails look fab!
