I don’t think I’ve seen these in any of the drugstores I usually visit, but I did find them at Harmon’s Discount. Coincidentally, I only discovered Harmon’s Discount recently, seriously have I been living under a rock? Absolutely love that store AND they accept Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons and I always get a ton of those in the mail :D . They usually have everything in stock, nothing is half-used, opened and put back on the shelf. Looks like I won’t be going back to Target anytime soon (you guys know that I LOVE Target, just wish they restocked their beauty sections more often than once a month). Okay, back to these lip paints.
The selection of colors is quite large- I believe there are 18 different shades- Harmon’s only carried a few and the only two that I liked were Blushing and Elude. Blushing is a gorgeous, dark mauve and Elude is a creamy, peachy nude. These lip paints remind me of OCC’s Lip Tars quite a bit and I think that they are definitely dupes for them (each costs only $4.00, OCC Lip Tars sell for $18.00 each). They have a similar opacity, texture and even the smell is identical. The pigmentation is insane, the colors are so rich and creamy, it’s like a crazy combo between a lipstick and a lipgloss, but it feels nothing like a gloss. It’s not sticky, overly glossy or drying. They have added benefits of Vitamin E and peppermint oil which truly makes the wear comfortable and nourishing.
I really liked the applicator, I just wish it wasn’t as wide. If applied directly it can get a bit sloppy that’s why I like to apply some in the middle with the applicator, and distribute it with a brush. This way I get a nice, even and clean application. Lip liner also helps quite a bit and stops the lip paint from gliding all over the place.
Have you guys tried these? If so, what is your favorite shade, I really want to get more! I have to say that it has been a while since I was this impressed with a drugstore product. Love, love, love these!
