Grays, nudes and purples

Fall is almost here, and that means saying goodbye to hot pink and neon nails. Although in my opinion, just as there are no rules in makeup, there also aren’t any in nail art ;)

It’s  no secret that I’ve always been obsessed with nailpolish and nailart. Back in high school, I would do my friends’ nails all the time (I myself always rocked french acrylic tips, all done at home) and I rarely get professional manicures, because I myself have mastered nail painting to perfection :) I love painting my nails, but always face the dilemma “what color should I paint my nails?” So, when facing this question the other day, I decided to dig into my not so little collection and find some “fall” colors. This is what I came up with:

The nude beige OPI color  on the left was I believe a part of some holiday-only collection at Sephora, and it doesn’t have a name. Next is Essie’s “chinchilly”, followed by Orly’s “You’re blushing”, China Glaze “Below the deck” and Essie in “ladylike” (one of my ultimate favorites!).

I love browns and nudes and dark purples, just as much as I love pinks and pastels and reds. Whenever I can’t decide which color to paint my nails, I just paint each one a different color. (On a side note, a tragedy has happened recently, I broke my nail whilst doing the dishes. Because I refuse to cut all of my nails short, I will soon be writing a post on how to easily “substitute” [sometimes I wonder if my sarcasm shows through my writing] or replace a broken nail).
