I tried a sample of Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf a while ago and even though I’m not a fan of overly sweet fragrances, this one was simply irresistible.
“This floral explosion releases a profusion of flowers that has the power to make everything more positive (!). Magically evocative notes immediately awaken your deepest senses, giving you the impression of living life in your own secret garden, away from reality”.
This floral scent is very classy, clean, light, sweet with a little bit of “spice” to it. It lingers on the skin all day, but doesn’t feel heavy or overpowering and light sweetness of this fragrance makes it an ideal scent to use everyday. With notes of sambac jasmine, centifolia rose, cattleya orchid, ballerina freesia and patchouli Flowerbomb is a beautiful oriental/floral scent. One thing that comes to my mind when I smell Flowerbomb is first date. I know it may seem a bit odd, but I think that it would make for a perfect perfume to use on such occasion. I was reading up lots of reviews on this fragrance and I noticed that a lot of women would describe Flowerbomb as a “mature” scent. I respectfully DISAGREE, I think it’s fresh, young and very girl-y.
I have to admit that at first I thought of Flowerbomb as an “overhyped” fragrance, but let me tell you, it’s worth all the hype. The fact that it comes in this adorable pink grenade bottle that is very unique and elegant, is also a plus :) .
While Flowerbomb is definitely not the type of scent that I’d use as my “signature” fragrance, it’s definitely one of favorites from my collection. I also have to mention that Hubby absolutely loves it when I wear it :).

April 10, 2014 at 7:09 pmAh, funnily enough I first tried a spritz of Flowerbomb several years ago on my first visit to NYC :D
I thought it was beautiful; floral, fruity but not underwhelming and mostly not overwhelming! I hate strong fragrances and always enjoy light ones that last so I must get around to buying a bottle hehe ;)
It’s a bonus that your hubby loves it, and I so agree with BerryBloom Paula, your photography is absolutely amazing, the intricate details you capture are something else! :D
