I should tag this one #beautyproductjunkie. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been trying out SO many great skincare and body care goodies and while I haven’t come across anything that I regret buying, a few products really stood out to me.
Aveeno Positively Nourishing Energizing Pomegranate+Grapefruit body lotion. Good old Aveeno. I almost forgot how much I used to love their products. This pomegranate+grapefruit lotion is simply amazing. It provides lasting moisture to the skin and it has an amazing scent. The scent is actually very unique and different. As you can imagine (because of the grapefruit), it’s very citrusy, energizing and invigorating. The formula is not very thick, but it also isn’t too “watery” and it absorbs quite fast. I just used some on my hands and can’t stop smelling them, which is a difficult thing to do while I’m typing.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. This spray is the sh*t. I use it after I wash my face and before I apply my moisturizer or BP gel. It doesn’t irritate or burn the skin, but leaves it feeling refreshed and soothed. It has a very light Rose fragrance, which I’m not usually a fan of, but it’s so subtle that I really don’t mind. This is said to also work good as a makeup setting spray, but I haven’t tried using it for that purpose. It’s suitable for all skin types and I just know that I’ll be using this quite a lot, come summer time.
CeraVe Eye Repair Cream. Yet another product that I showed in my recent haul video. As I was telling you in my videos, I got a really bad windburn right under my left eye and couldn’t find anything that’d help me heal it. The skin under my eye was extremely dry; it was flaky and just not very pretty. I got this CeraVe Eye Repair Cream in hopes that it’ll do just that: repair my eye. [LOL. I can be so cheesy sometimes, do forgive me.]It actually did absolutely nothing for me for the first couple of days, but the more I used it, the better my skin got and now I can’t live without this product. Once again, it doesn’t burn, doesn’t irritate (as some of the anti-aging eye creams tend to do) and it really helps to restore the protective skin barrier. The only thing that I didn’t like was the price: $15.00, which is sort of pricey considering that this, is a drug store product.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil (rosehip fragrance). This, I got in the hopes that it’ll help me get rid of the few stretchmarks that I have on my thighs. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter products are the first ones that come to mind when I think about healing stretchmarks, they’re just very popular, trusted and loved. I’ve tried their stretchmark lotions before but there’s one thing that I can’t stand: the smell of cocoa butter. When I saw that Palmer’s came out with the whole “rosehip fragrance” line I grabbed the Skin Therapy Oil, I tried it and I fell in love. Not only can I stand the smell of this oil, I actually like it. A lot. The packaging of this product is also another plus: the pump is great as it prevents from dispensing too much product. This oil is so lightweight and moisturizing and leaves a beautiful subtle sheen on the skin. I already know that Palmer’s products are quite effective (hey, just because I hated the smell, doesn’t mean I didn’t use the products) so I’m very excited to see how well this works. I’m actually combining the use of this oil with a dermaroller to treat my stretchmarks and can already see minimal results.
So this is my fantastic four of the moment. Which one would you like to try the most?
