Much like with many other affordable makeup brands, E.l.f. has always been a bit of a miss and hit with me, these ELF Studio Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadows are definitely the latter.
ELF Studio Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadows come in seven different shades, but I was able to only find two: Soiree and Toast. Soiree is a gorgeous, plumy pink, and Toast is a champagne gold. The formula of these is very unique. It’s almost like a soft and fluffy gel which makes it very easy to apply and blend, but I would definitely recommend using you fingers, rather than a brush (because of the whipped formula these don’t stick to brushes too well, I find), for a better color pay off. Both of these have a gorgeous shimmer in them and can be worn on their own, or layered with other eyeshadows. Another great thing about these is the fact that I can layer the color for a more intense look and they won’t crease. These also have a quite impressive staying power as well, which I think that for only $3.00 each, is pretty awesome. The formula feels very comfortable and light, without that “sticky” feeling that some cream/gel eyeshadows tend to leave. I was very, very impressed with these.
I need to get my hands on the rest of the colors! These eyeshadows are definitely a great drugstore find.
