Budget Beauty: Pond’s Cucumber Cleanser

Pond's cucumber cleanser reviewToday I have yet another great drugstore find for you guys; Pond’s Cucumber Cleanser.

Pond’s Cucumber Cleanser ($8.29) was recommended to me by a friend. During winter my skin can get a bit dry and I really wanted to try another pre-cleanse makeup removing product to alternate with my jojoba oil. Not having tried too many Pond’s products in the past, I was intrigued.

This makeup removing cleanser is so creamy yet incredibly light at the same time. It has a very slight fragrance of fresh cucumber that isn’t too overpowering. About two years a go I tried one of Pond’s moisturizers and while it felt great on my skin, it smelled like a bottle of perfume; the scent was so strong and bothersome that I had to stop using it. I was so glad to find that this wasn’t the case with Pond’s Cucumber Cleanser.

I use this cleanser as my pre-cleanse step. I remove all my makeup by massaging it into my skin, rinse it off and follow up with my cleanser. This cucumber cleanser itself does a great job with removing makeup, isn’t irritating (I also haven’t experienced any breakouts while using this, which is always a win for me), it rinses off easily and leaves the skin feeling SO soft, refreshed and moisturized. There’s no greasy residue after washing this off and it removes all the makeup; I’m talking foundation, blush, brow product, mascara, etc. Awesome (and affordable) alternative to makeup removing wipes which can irritate your skin (and don’t even get me started on all that skin-tugging!). If you want to give this a try and have sensitive skin, don’t forget to patch test first, it does contain some fragrance which can be irritating to some. I’m loving this stuff!
