THIRTEEN THOUGHTS

Best lotion, ever.

Amazing grace lotion review

Ever since I bought Hope in a Jar by Philosophy, many, many years ago, I fell in love with their products. I’ve never been disappointed by anything from Philosophy and the Amazing Grace firming emulsion is no different.

“Chock full of luscious moisturizing properties including shea butter, macadamia nut, and olive oils for a unique blend of antioxidants and vitamins E and C, this enchanting, creamy emulsion creates soft, touchable, and subtly scented skin.”

I have to say, that this is the BEST smelling lotion that I have ever used. Not only that, but the smell lingers on your skin forever, literally, it lasts until you wash it off in the shower. It smells so nice, to the point that I don’t feel the need to wear perfume. It’s a very delightful, fresh, soft and clean scent that reminds me a little of a Nivea cream, but it’s much more subtle. I know that this is going to sound hella weird, but this lotion, to me, smells like Europe. I have no idea why, but whenever I smell this lotion, I just think of traveling to Europe. Weird, I know.

Amazing Grace absorbs very quickly and leaves the skin feeling very smooth and soft, but not overly moisturized or greasy. I love the fact that it has a pump and that it’s packaged in a very simple and classic bottle. This emulsion is a toning moisturizer that is supposed to help “purify, moisturize and revitalize dry, aged or wrinkled skin”.   Even though it’s a “firming” lotion, it doesn’t leave the skin feeling tight or uncomfortable, but overtime the skin definitely feels a bit firmer. I don’t think that the Amazing Grace lotion would work  for an extremely dry skin, just because it absorbs so quickly and lacks that greasiness that extremely dry skin needs, but it’s amazing for dry to normal skin.

I NEED to get one of these for my mom and my sister. If you know of anyone who can’t use perfume because they get headaches easily or they simply are sensitive to strong fragrances, they need this lotion in their life.
