Over the last couple of months I’ve been hearing so many amazing things about BECCA Cosmetics products and I’ve had my eyes on their Afterglow Palette ever since it was released a few months back.
The Afterglow palette ($39.50) is a cheek palette containing five BECCA best sellers: Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone– luminous golden champagne; Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold– light, soft copper with golden shimmer; Shimmering Skin Perfector in Topaz– medium bronze with gold sheen; Mineral Blush in Wild Honey– soft, silky peachy brown and Mineral Blush in Flowerchild– light pink with a golden sheen.
“A collection of five BECCA best sellers designed to add light, lift and a touch of color. Mix and match to customize your look and create your custom glow. Highlight your favorite features all season long with Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone, Rose Gold and Topaz, and the beautifully soft Mineral Blush in Wild Honey and Flowerchild. Highlight shades allow you to accentuate facial features for a natural glow, while Mineral Blush shades impart a soft sweep of color and subtly reflect light onto apples of cheeks”
What I love about this palette:
-first off, the packaging is just stunning, love how compact it is, love the fact that it has a mirror
-the five shades included in this palette are all beautiful and although at first I thought they might be slightly too warm-toned for my liking, they actually work with my skin tone
-the formula was silky-smooth with all of these- slightly more powdery with Rose Gold, but it still blended nicely
-I think that the price point is really good
-the quality is here too, I think that it’s a great way to try some of BECCA highlighters and blushes, if you don’t have any individual products
What I didn’t like:
-Similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette, I was a little disappointed with the size of the pans in this palette, you definitely need to be picky about which brush to use with this, unless you don’t mind mixing the shades together. This is honestly my only complaint about this palette, although I would love to see more cool-toned colors included here.
