It’s no secret that I have a SLIGHT obsession with candles, and Bath & Body Works is by far my favorite place to shop for them. Few days a go they had their 2 for $22.00 sale online and I stocked up on some of my favorites.
Palm Leaves is a new one for me. I was intrigued by the green, frosted sea-glass jar and as soon as I took a whiff of it at the store, I thought that the scent was pleasantly familiar. Then my sister pointed out that it smells just like Juicy Couture perfume and she was spot on. It’s such an original scent, a gorgeous mix of green palm, aloe and agave. I loved this scent so much that I bought two of these. I am burning one at the moment in my living room, and I have to say that the throw isn’t as great as with my other favorite candles from Bath & Body Works, but it’s still strong enough to fill up a small room with the scent.
You guys know how much I love my owls. When I saw this adorable Owl Ceramic Filled Candle, I knew I had to get it. The candle is “leaves” and it’s one of my favorites to burn during late Summer/early Fall. Plus, it was on sale for only eight bucks!
Mahogany Teakwood is a top rated candle on Bathandbodyworks.com and is also probably my favorite fragrance. Mahogany Teakwood smells just like cologne, it’s woody, deep, strong and absolutely divine and I can’t help but think that it smells exactly like the inside of an Abecrombie & Fitch store. This candle is a warm and snuggly concoction of mahogany, cedarwood and oak, highlighted by delicate lavender and geranium notes.
I love anything with eucalyptus, from bath soaks to lotions, this candle being no exception. Stress Relief, part of the aromatherapy collection, is eucalyptus and spearmint scented candle and it has a very clean, fresh and calming fragrance, I love burning this one while taking a bath. It’s a best selling candle for a reason, it has an amazing throw without being too strong or overpowering. Before I tried this candle, I wasn’t convinced that smells can be relaxing, but I feel that this one truly does help relieve stress. The eucalyptus is definitely the dominant fragrance in this one, with slight and soothing under-notes of spearmint. I bought two of these as well :D .
Even though my little Owl candle is in the “Leaves” scent, I wanted to get the same one in the original, 3-wick version as well. A rich blend of golden nectar, red apple and spiced berries, sounds divine, doesn’t it? Even though everyone keeps saying that the Summer is quickly coming to an end, I think that it’s pretty much in full-swing. Yesterday was probably one of the hottest days of this year, it was really unbearable, but I won’t complain, I’m still hoping to catch some rays! With that being said, I sort of can’t wait for Fall to arrive even if it’s just so I can burn this candle! ;) It always brings back all the cozy and comfy memories and is just a very “homey” scent.
I also bought two 2-packs of wallflower refills. I went with Eucalyptus and Spearmint (since I love it so much!) and Lavender and Vanilla. I usually don’t like Lavender fragrances, but the addition of the vanilla notes really makes it a lovely combo. It’s a blend of lavender and creamy vanilla, with touches of cedarwood, delicate jasmine and citrus.
These wallflowers really work great and last a bit longer than the plug-ins that I sometimes buy at a supermarket. I once bought these in my beloved Mahogany Teakwood and the smell was gorgeous at first, but after a few days it started smelling bad and gave me a horrible headache. That turned me off a little and I avoided the wallflowers for a while, but I gave in once again and they work great. I probably won’t buy them in Mohagany Teakwood again, but the Eucalyptus Mint and Lavender & Vanilla are lovely!
Do you guys love Bath & Body Works candles as much as I do? What’s your favorite scent?
