Without a doubt, the first thing that I loved about this scent is the stunning packaging. The classic six-sided architectural design and a stunning arch cap with rose-gold detailing create a unique construction that’s almost art-like.
Now, for the scent itself- I have nothing but love. B. Balenciaga Skin is a more delicate and feminine version of B. Balenciaga that was launched back in October of last year. B. Balenciaga skin opens with gorgeous notes of bergamot, soya bean, lily of the valley and green tea. As the fragrance evolves, it then reveals notes of violet leaf, peony and iris root. Then, it dries down with warm notes of cashmere woods, base of cedar, vetiver and ambrette seed.
In other words, the fragrance starts off a bit strong (I would say almost “spicy”) and eventually transforms into a very soft scent, one that actually reminds me a little of my husband’s favorite YSL cologne (which, btw I wear on occasion!). It’s a perfect mix of floral, woody and green accords, which is exactly what I love in a fragrance. It’s not overly feminine, sweet or powdery and has just a slight hint of muskiness. B. Balenciaga Skin also has a soft sillage and is long-lasting.
I think this fragrance is perfect for this time of the year, I don’t think I’d see myself wearing during summer a lot, but I think it would be great for spring. This is also definitely more of a night-time scent.
What scent are you guys loving at the moment?
