Allure & Butter London: Violet’s Revenge

Allure has teamed up with Butter London to create a limited edition “Arm Candy” nail lacquer collection.

The collection includes six individual nail lacquers and a four-piece Fashion Size Lacquer set. The four-piece set includes So Major! – Loden Green, Shimmer; The Sweet Spot -Opaque Dusty Pink, Creme; Violet’s Revenge – Opaque Blue Purple, Creme and Front Row – Opaque Wine, Creme. Violet’s Revenge was included in the most recent Allure Beauty Thrills box and I’ve been rocking it for the past few days.

Violet’s Revenge is a stunning, creamy blue-violet color. I own quite a few blue nail polishes, but don’t tend to wear them too often because I feel that they’re a bit too “summery”. Violet’s Revenge, however, is a perfect combo between blue and purple- it still packs a colorful punch, but it looks very polished (no pun intended here) sophisticated and classy.

The formula is quite lovely, very smooth, creamy and opaque. I usually really like Butter London lacquers, so there’s no surprise there, really. If I were to be really picky, I could say that I wish that the brush was a bit stiffer/denser to allow for easier application. Other than that, the formula is smooth, it dries quite fast and it’s long lasting as well.
