It Cosmetics You Sculpted Universal Contouring Palette

you-sculpted-palette

you-sculpted-palette You know that when it comes to contour, I always prefer a more subtle and delicate look.

Having fair skin, it’s often a little difficult to find contouring or bronzing shades that work well with my skin. The new It Cosmetics You Sculpted Universal Contouring Palette has a few shades that work great for me. This palette comes with four contour shades and two highlight shades- a matte and radiance.

Developed with plastic surgeons, the leading experts in contouring and aesthetics, each powder shade is formulated with proprietary Perfect Lighting™ Technology to mimic real facial contouring and provide a foolproof alternative to fillers. While the four contour shades absorb light and minimize the areas to which you apply them, the two highlighters enhance features you want to pull forward, creating the appearance of more volume. Talc-free, and perfect for all skin types and skin tones, these shades are infused with anti-aging collagen, silk and peptides to blend effortlessly and deliver smooth, natural-looking coverage that lasts all day.

What I like:

-this palette is so nice for a natural contour. I love the Soft Contour shade- it works so well with my skin tone
-the palette has a matte highlight shade which I love
-the packaging has a mirror which makes this travel-friendly (although I wish the mirror was slightly bigger)
-the powders are creamy, not chalky and actually pretty long-lasting
-the powders are buildable (won’t look muddy when layered)
-this palette comes with a little booklet and instructions on how to contour your face, nose, chest, etc.
-the highlight shade is very pretty not overly glittery or chunky (definitely not a very intense highlight, but I love it)

What I don’t like:

– I know that this palette is supposed to be universal, but I’m not sure how some of these shades would work with deeper skin tones
-Okay so I personally don’t necessarily have a problem with the packaging, but I have a feeling that some of you might not like the fact that this $40.00 palette comes in a cardboard packaging. I think it’s actually more environmentally friendly than plastic packaging and it’s definitely sturdy.

It Cosmetics You Sculpted  Universal Palette Swatches: Soft Contour, Light Contour, Matte Highlight, Medium Contour, Deep Contour, Radiance Highlight.

If you love natural-looking contour/highlight I’m sure that you’ll love this palette. The powders are quite easy to work with and blend very nicely. If you like your contour on a more intense side, you can still build these up, but they’re definitely more on a natural side.

I am obsessed with IT Cosmetics and thank you for an honest review. I may hold off on this for a bit. I definitely think a plastic packaging is better. Especially for people like me who throw their makeup in their gym bag.

Yeah, I must admit on that one, I don’t think any paper packaging would survive with me for more than ten minutes :)

I have heard so many nice things about IT Cosmetics but I have never tried them, I like the look of this palette as the shades look really pigmented xx

This looks like such a nice palette! I recently gave away my ABH contour kit because it was just too dark for my super pale skin, so I’m definitely going to look into this one. The Soft Contour shade looks perfect!

I don’t think I’d use this very often but for those who are really into contouring this seems great.

I really want to try and get into contouring and see how it works for me – this palette looks like the perfect one for it! It Cosmetics sounds like a great brand and I’m so glad it’s available in the UK now as well :)

Hmmm … I’m thinking that the shades that are too dark for your skintone, you could always use as eyeshadow colours. So I don’t think anything in this palette would go to waste – I think that’s great! Well worth the $40, definitely.

I agree these probably wouldn’t work with deeper skin tones, which is a shame but I think a palette needs to be personalised in order to work for all skin tones. I do love the shades though and sounds like an amazing formula too x

I have fair skin as well and this might actually work on me!! Other contour powders are always so warm. The struggle is real with contour powders. Heh, I’m excited! :)

This palette looks so pretty! They look a little more warm so it would be perfect for this time of year. I’m kind of hooked on my Kat Von D contour palette though!
