Is it spring yet?
Because I sure can’t wait for it to get here already. Give me all the bright colors, the sunshine and warm walks in the park on a Saturday afternoon… hell.. I might even start jogging again….
….but only because our good old treadmill finally broke down…. I can’t believe that February is slowly coming to an end but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for this winter to be over. Ya feel me?
Today I’m giving you a little look into my February Makeup bag.
You probably already know just how much I love MUFE’s Mat Velvet + Foundation and I’ve been definitely reaching for it quite often lately. It works great with oily skin, has a natural-looking finish and is waterproof (which actually makes it a great summer foundation, too). Another base product that I’ve been obsessing over is PÜR Cosmetics Hydra Fluid Water Serum Foundation which I reviewed right here.
Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer is definitely worth the hype. I’ve been reaching for it nearly every day since I purchased it. It’s lightweight, but at the same time provides awesome coverage.
Laura Mercier’s Loose Setting Powder ahhhh where do I start? It’s probably one of the best translucent powders I’ve tried- it leaves my skin looking smooth and flawless, it’s great for setting your concealer as well as foundation. Unlike a lot of translucent powders it also doesn’t make me look extremely pale.
Milani Bella Ivory eyeshadow- great formula and a shade I reach for nearly daily.
I also can’t seem to stop raving about BECCA’s Afterglow Palette– swatches and review right here. It’s absolutely stunning and Moonstone is my favorite out of five of these gorgeous shades.
MAC Lip Pencil in Stripdown– I love MAC lip liners and this one goes so well with most of my nude/brown lip products.
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel– great mascara that really does deliver awesome volume. It also lasts forever and it doesn’t flake.
Dior’s Tra-La-La nail polish is all I’ve been wearing for the last couple of weeks. During Winter my usual obsession with nail polish sort of dies down, and I’ve been reaching for Tra-La-La because it’s a light pink, feminine color that pretty much goes with everything, not to mention just how much I love the formula of Dior polishes! I think these are the only high-end polishes that are actually worth the splurge (Chanel, on the other hand, is a completely different story).
The Body Shop’s Hemp Hand Protector has also been a heaven-sent for both me and my husband (he loves this stuff, I wish he liked his face moisturizer as much as this hand cream :| ) It’s one of my favorite hand creams and this limited edition supports The Body Shop Foundation in helping to increase awareness around the negative changes happening to our planet. For every Limited Edition Hemp Hand Protector purchased, $2.20 will be donated to The Body Shop Foundation and support global target to protect and enrich our planet, our people, animals, and our oceans. How awesome is that?
What’s in your makeup bag this month?
